One of the most important thing in my bag... my headphone! I drive by bike all the time and I can't live without some music... Currently I own a baby pink Sony headphone but my heart beats even faster when I see this Frends Layla Rose Gold headphone pass by ;-)

Eastpak Artist Studio 2013

For the third time Eastpak organized the Artist Studio, a platform for artists to out their creativity.
56 artists from 14 different countries turned this plane white classic Eastpak bag into a unique piece that is being then sold for charity, Designers Against Aids. As from Monday December 2nd your can buy or bid on the bags on www.eastpak.com.

My favorites are still available ;-)

The international finissage was held at Idealabs in Antwerp and was hosted by the lovely Hannelore Knuts ( I was so impressed by her, I didn't even dare to ask her for a picture :-). After walking trough the beautiful finissage a delicious winter BBQ was held on the rooftop!

Mina's H$PSPOT - Balls & Glory

Last October Balls & Glory was awarded a Golden palm for most innovative restaurant concept, so the tasty meatballs of chef Wim Ballieu were bound to touch down in Antwerp city. When I first heard Balls & Glory was going to open a new restaurant at Felix Pakhuis, I did a little dance of joy. Chef, Wim Ballieu, makes these delicious meat balls filled with original combinations, like pumpkin and goat cheese, chicory and mustard, mushroom and truffle and many many more (seasonal) combinations. I myself tried the meat ball with chervil and bacon and I must say, it was so tasty I had to stop myself from buying a second one. When you're short on time, you can always get some take away meatballs at the shop or just take some meatballs and warm them at home.

I love it :-)

MOVEMBER -last days!

Hi everybody,

As you all might know... November change into MOVEMBER a while ago.
To finance the battle against testicular and prostate cancer a few australian guys decided in 1999 to grow their mustache to raise money. The idea kept growing and growing and MOVEMBER is starting to become an annual tradition for men all over the world.

Mina's H$PSPOTS - BXL Le Balmoral

Dear readers,

I love discovering new places (or just go to old ones for the very first time).
So I decided to make this MINA's H$PSPOT into a regular item on the blog.

A while ago I saw Le Balmoral on tv, a fifties american dinner covered in pink and pastels, where burgers so alongside delicious milkshake. On a rainy october afternoon, this is perfection, I can tell you that!

Food at reasonable prices, good for a quick bite or even better if you love hanging around all afternoon.

My next birthday party is already planned ;-)

BOEKENBEURS 2013 ANTWERPEN

Hi Lovelies,

An anual tradition of mine is the "Boekenbeurs" in Antwerp. During the first week of November, my dad and me (nowadays my grandmother comes too) go to Antwerp Expo for the biggest book fair in Belgium. Some of you may think of it as old-fashioned and boring but for me it's a fun way to find all the books I need, discover new ones and also to already buy some presents for the Holidays.

The books I bought: (top to bottom):
* Puur Genieten 2, Pascal Naessens: Great book for some pure, healthy cooking
* Woonboek , Tom Cole/Britt Sebrechts : Makers of woonblog.be, they portrayed 15 interiors in
                                                                  Belgium (including theirs). Also has fun DIY tips and
                                                                  hotspots in Europe.
* Het Slimste Boek ter Wereld: Don't need to say more ;-)
* Ons Kookboek , KVLV: Yes my dears I need to start cooking (fast). This books contains all of the
                                            basics you have to know to become a queen in your kitchen.
* Twilight & Nieuwe Maan, Stephenie Meyer: I must be like twenty billion years to late for the hype ;-)
                                             
I love strolling around at this book fair and I found some fun goodies...

Armani Jeans - Opening Antwerp store Meir

Another week... another store!

I was invited to the opening of the new Armani Jeans store in Antwerp. And off course, I'm always up for a cocktail and some fashion. So I put on my boots and went for a quick visit. I must say, nice shop, nice event, and I'm mainly fan of the accessories. The leather bags are easy to combine with all the hot prints for this winter... and off course I couldn't resist all the pink ;-) 

The Black-Blue-White fur coat is also my favorite (Yes I have this coat addiction when temperature starts dropping).

Cocktail were beautiful presented at the middle of the store (Gin n tonic for the models ;-) or a Pink cranberry vodka).

And then there was the lovely tote bag boot (I got my first Made by Mina bag).

If you're into Armani visit the shop and bring your hubby (there's a men's section on the ground floor).
